Documentary Theatre is a stylized form of theatre that wholly, or in part, uses pre-existing documentary material such as newspapers, government reports, or in this case interviews, as source material for the script, ideally without altering its wording. This is a unique opportunity for actors of all levels to not just act, but discover, document, develop and write a unique and personal piece of art to be presented as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival in association with ADMAF. The theme of the project is memory and the relationship to Mothers and Grandmothers.

Casting will commence the week of January 17th, 2016.

Casting requirements:
- Female actors of all skill-levels
- Age: 16-45
Emirati or second -generation residents of the UAE
Must be able to commit to an 8 week development and rehearsal schedule
Must be available for two performances April 3-9 (still in development)

The roles:
There are two types of roles that are being casted for: Solo performer (monoloque) and chorus (supporting).

Each performer will acquire skills in acting, documentary research, and script writing and will be given an acting and documentary research workshop. Each performer will be coached an guided to write a script and realize it into performance.
