My experience of acting started at school, working on school plays and talent shows. This led me to pursue a career in drama, and applying to study Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham, UK in 2014.
Upon joining university, I became heavily involved with the community theatre scene in Birmingham, both in and out of University. I took part in short play festivals throughout my first year, and this culminated in me being cast in a show that was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015, where we received 5 stars.
Since then, I have actively been auditioning and have been cast in numerous original works by students and professionals in and around the West Midlands area of the UK. This involves classical and contemporary projects, as well as numerous immersive experiences for audiences.
During my studies at Birmingham University, I began working as an actor, and have carried on doing so in a professional context since 2014, primarily onstage. However, in 2019, I took part in “MoonFest” run by a local company, Little Earthquake, for which I filmed two short clips in order to help promote and facilitate the festival. I have some experience working on film also, on several independent projects.
Having grown up in Dubai, I now return with the hope to establish myself as an actor here, and pursue my career.
