Trained for acting on film, Joaquim Gonsalves has most recently worked in a Safety Awareness video for DNATA/Emirates, as well as on a few short films for the 48 Hour Film Festivals in Mumbai ('The Musical Connect'; 'Mutual Dreams', 'Faisala') and Dubai.('Disheveled') He also recreated a powerful scene performance from the acclaimed Christian Bale film American Psycho, for a YouTube challenge organized by the FILM RIOT channel. As of April 2016, he has officially finished shooting for 'Screen 13' - a new Short Film by American University in Dubai.

Joaquim has been privileged to study the nuances of acting under Hollywood's Anthony Montes, Australia's veteran playwright Alex Broun and Bollywood Senior Ashok Purang.

Independent work includes production and acting duties on 5 short films, including a recreation of an Anurag Kashyap film Shaitan, in One Take-One Minute for the said Director's Short Film contest.

Besides his acting pursuits, Joaquim is an avid motorcyclist. One of his memorable road trips was for a India Bike Week from Mumbai to Goa and back in 48 hours, despite being ill. His interest in music is evident from his love for singing, composing and trying his hand at the guitar and drums.
