Ever since my childhood, my interests have always inclined towards the arts. As a dance graduate proficient in over four dance forms (Bharatnatyam, hip-hop, contemporary, and Bollywood) with over 13 years of dancing experience (having begun my journey at the age of 2), I have developed an immense interest not only in dance but also in other arts such as acting and modeling.
* I kickstarted my dance journey by learning Bollywood and contemporary dance from professional teachers in Dubai at an institute named Ocean Kids. We mainly performed at Global Village, and I was given the center stage several times.
* Progressing in my journey, I began learning Bharatnatyam, an Indian classical dance form, and have been performing it for 8 years under the guidance of professional Bharatnatyam teachers. I have completed an 'Arangetram' in Bharatnatyam, which is a debut performance marking the transition from a student to a performer. This involves performing for a few hours in front of an audience, a tradition followed since the dance's origination.
* Hip-hop is a dance form I have been teaching myself for the past 2-3 years, taking inspiration from several K-pop groups.
My interest in acting and modeling is just as strong.
* I have been acting in theatrical plays in my school for over 2 years, playing the main character in all the plays. Some examples include:
* Antigone (as Antigone)
* Macbeth (Lady Macbeth, in a monologue performance)
* The Seagull (Arkadina, in a monologue performance)
* Medea (as Medea)
* Rear Window (as Lisa)
* Waiting for Godot (as Estragon)
* Romeo and Juliet (as Juliet)
* The Red Headed League (as Sherlock Holmes)
* Additionally, I diversified my roles by acting as Mary Shelley, the narrator of Frankenstein.
* I have received the Student of the Year Award/Student Excellence Award for Drama for 2 years in a row (2023 and 2024).
* Apart from theatrical acting, I am greatly intrigued by film acting and aspire to be like the actors/actresses I have admired in movies. I can easily memorize dialogues and quickly get into the character's skin.
* Although I don't have much experience in modeling, I have done a few photoshoots for personal use and believe I can excel with more guidance and experience.
